Maresca talks about a potential exit from Chelsea

Enzo Maresca has claimed he is in the dark over Renato Veiga’s potential Stamford Bridge exit.

The Italian said: “I am not aware that there is a deal for Renato.

“Yesterday he was here with us working, today he will be here with us. At the moment he is our player. We will see if something happens.

“The only thing I can say is that we bought him from Basel, he has played different positions, played well, and this has allowed him to join the national team for the first time in his life.

“Even if he doesn’t play his position, he plays for his national team which means he can do well in the position he plays.

“In this case, a young player who is 21 years old, came to Chelsea and started playing in four or five different positions, it has given him the chance to join his national team so we are very proud of that.”
