Transfer news LIVE: Arsenal ‘make contact over Rashford’, Man Utd eyeing Kolo Muani, Man City ‘closer to £33.5m Khusanov’

Hammers eye Rashford move

West Ham have shown an interest in signing Marcus Rashford from Manchester United, reports the Daily Mail.

The Hammers are in need of attacking reinforcements due to injuries to Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio.

But the cost of bringing Rashford to east London could prove an obstacle.

He earns £325,000 a week at Old Trafford and has been linked with loans to Juventus and AC Milan.

Familiar face to return to EFL?

Jonjo Shelvey is being lined up for a return to English football, reports Football League World.

The former Liverpool and Newcastle star has been playing in Turkey since leaving Nottingham Forest.

But Burnley are interested in bringing him back to England to help their promotion push.

He has been training with Scott Parker’s side ahead of their FA Cup tie with Reading and could sign a short-term deal.

Parker on Rashford

Former Man Utd star Paul Parker has had his say on Marcus Rashford.

The retired right-back, who played almost 150 games for the club and won four major trophies, told Betfred: “It’s really about him. Does he want to go there, work hard and run without being asked?

“If he really wants to prove everybody wrong, go do that, and then come back to these shores and do this.

“Then everyone will believe, understand and respect you for what you’ve done, but he can’t just go there and think everything is perfect and think ‘I’ve done this, I’ve done that,’ because his most important thing is here.

“His main thing is to be at Manchester United and do it for his local team, which he hasn’t done.

“So the best he can do is ask for the chance to prove everyone wrong at Manchester United.”

AC odds to win Marcus race

AC Milan have suddenly become the overwhelming favorites to sign Marcus Rashford.

Arsenal and Tottenham are also rated as possible destinations for the Manchester United striker.

But the bookies believe AC are odds-on to sign the 27-year-old, with Borussia Dortmund the second best bet.

Then comes a drop to Juventus and PSG, followed by the two London giants.

William Hill spokesperson, Lee Phelps, said: “There has been a big change in the January transfer market as we have reduced his odds for a move to AC Milan from 33/1 to 4/6!

“A move to the Italian giants has been the subject of 40% of all bets.”

WILLIAM HILL ODDS:
AC Milan 4/6
Borussia Dortmund 7/2
Juventus 8/1
PSG 8/1
Arsenal 10/1
Tottenham 12/1
All Saudi Pro League Clubs 14/1
BAR 16/1
