Kyle’s wife scraps divorce plan when Saudi eye transfer
EXCLUSIVE: Just last year, Kyle Walker’s long-term wife Annie Kilner braced for war, telling pals she was considering divorce, writes AMANDA DEVLIN.
But after a cozy Christmas with Man City star and their children – and amid growing speculation he is being courted for a multi-million pound move to star in Saudi Arabia – Everything can change again.
Those close to Annie, 33, tell The Sun that she has put the brakes on talk of a split and has instead moved town and England defender back into the marital home.
An insider said: “It was only a few months ago that Annie served Kyle with divorce paper, but she has other thoughts.
“He is a top target for Saudi Arabia clubs and if he decides to take a deal it will be life changing – and not just because of the huge amount money he will do.”
Any move to the Arab state is still up in the air, but Kyle, 34, is a top target for big sides including Al Nasrwhere Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo is the captain.
Deals being discussed by clubs in the oil-rich nation are said to be worth upwards of £20m, with Kyle expected to easily pocket £400,000 a week if he chooses to try his luck abroad.
And friends close to Annie said she was ‘no idiot’ – having ‘sought legal advice on the finances last year and knows the deal in Saudi is worth a lot.
“Annie says it’s not about the money but about keeping her family together, but still his earning potential is something she will have thought about.
