Trains between Crianlarich and Glasgow Queen Street will face disruption between Saturday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 12.
Engineering work will be taking place between Helensburgh Upper and Crianlarich, and will close all lines.
A ScotRail statement read: “Buses will replace trains between Glasgow Queen Street and Crianlarich.
“A mixture of direct buses (no calling points) and buses calling at all stations will run.
“On Sunday only, buses will replace trains between Fort William and Mallaig.”
Additionally, the Oban to Queen Street train on Saturday at 8.42pm, and the 9.31pm service on Monday and Tuesday will be replaced by both limited stop buses and all station buses.
The rail operator has warned passengers to plan their journey in advanced.
And highlighted that journey times may be longer.
A spokesperson added: “Please plan your journey in advance using our app or website, journey times may be extended due to the use of road transport.”
Elsewhere, a major commuter route is set to shut down for over FOUR months.
Network Rail announced the line between East Kilbride and Glasgow Central will close in January to upgrade the service.
Engineers are set to work around the clock to electrify the busy route as part of the Scottish Government‘s decarbonisation strategy to move away from the use of diesel trains.
But the extensive works means there’ll be no trains from January 25 to Sunday May 18 – leaving Scotland‘s second-largest town without a service for 16 weeks.
ScotRail confirmed there will be a replacement bus service in place during this time.
