On Tuesday, the New Heights podcast revealed on X that Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is set to be a guest on a new episode that drops this week.
“There’s only one way to intro the king” the caption read. “TOMORROW. THE LEBRON JAMES EPISODE.”
The announcement featured a clip of Jason listing LeBron’s accolades before making a comical attempt at the 40-year-old’s iconic chalk toss.
LeBron was then pictured as Travis and Jason cheered the four-time NBA Finals MVP on.
Before the announcement, the New Heights account replied to an old X post from James asking to be a guest on the show.
“Crazy I can’t get a invite to join yall fantastic show! Is it because you guys are truly the Kings of NE Ohio and I claim to be? Be honest! Seriously you guys are AWESOME!!” James wrote to the show in 2023.
New Heights responded with numerous side-eyed eyebrow emojis, hinting that LeBron would appear on the program.
Fans of New Heights were excited by the massive news as it doesn’t happen every day that a podcast gets the honor of having the NBA’s all-time leading scorer on it.
“No way y’all got Bron Bron. I need that episode,” one wrote.
“This is going to be a BANGER,” another commented.
“Cannot wait for this episode,” a third stated
LeBron will appear in the podcast’s latest episode on Wednesday.
The 21-year NBA veteran isn’t the only huge name to be a guest on New Heights in the still-young 2025 year.
Travis and Jason brought on Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark as their first guest of 2025.
Then, in last week’s episode, the Kelces got to talk with Hollywood star Will Ferrell.
LeBron isn’t a stranger to podcasting as he entered the podcasting world last year.
He and J.J. Redick, who’s now his Lakers head coach, started Mind the Game – a basketball podcast.
They released numerous episodes before moving on once Redick entered the coaching world.
Travis will prepare to appear in the Chiefs’ first playoff game this weekend when they face the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round at GEHA Field at Arrowhead on Saturday.
The 10-time Pro Bowler and the Chiefs will eye the league’s first-ever three-peat.
