However, Travis Hunter immediately came to the defence of his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, and stated that people were investing too much in the incident.
Travis was crowned with the Heisman Trophy on Saturday, December 14, and while he was almost in tears, Leanna Lenee indifferently reacted to the situation and did not even get to her feet to show respect for her beau’s achievements.

It was only when Delon patted Leanna’s back that she stood up.
Fans are also pointing to another video that showed the duo arguing with one another in a match against Oklahoma State, which was won by Travis.

However, the duo immediately came together to reassure fans that everything was okay between them. Leanna even put up a statement on her Instagram which read:
“These pics were taken 30 seconds after that clip, by the way. Please remember that social media is not real, and 5 seconds is not enough to understand a situation. You also never know what a person can handle mentally. Thank you, baby, for always trying to cheer me up. You truly are the greatest partner a girl could ever ask for.”
However, the controversy is not subsiding, and fans have also pointed to the fact that Travis Hunter’s father did not attend the Heisman Trophy event.
Travis’ fiancée has also made her social media account private so that there is no more scrutiny and trolling.
Additionally, a leaked private DM hinted that Leanna was having an affair back in 2020 when she was already in a committed relationship with Travis.
