Travis Kelce entered the league as a third-round pick in 2013.

Kylie shared that the then-23-year-old made a reckless financial decision after receiving his first signing bonus.

During an interview with 94 WIP in Philadelphia, the NFL wife said that Travis once gloated about spending money on a pair of Marty McFly shoes.

The footwear was worn by Michael J. Fox in the Back to the Future II.

Kylie shared that Jason scolded his brother about the purchase when he visited him in Philadelphia that year.

“Early on when we were dating, Travis came into town, I think with the Marty McFly shoes,” Kylie recalled.

“I didn’t have the chance to meet Travis that time but Jason told me, after the fact, how much of a hard time he gave Travis after Travis divulged how much he spent on the shoes.

“It’s warranted.”

Travis has gone on to make nine Pro Bowls and receive more than $76 million in NFL earnings over his 11-plus seasons in the league.

Kelce’s shoes, based on the 1988 movie, are currently going for $38,000 on StockX.

It’s not known how much he paid for them at the time.

But Kelce has spoken about buying the Back to the Future II shoes in the past, revealing he also purchased a Rolex watch.

“I was walking into this empty apartment with Marty McFlys on and a Rolex,” Kelce said during an episode on his New Heights Podcast in 2021.

“I felt like I was the coolest guy in the world.

“I’d always wanted those shoes, I’d always been a big Nike guy and watching Back To The Future so many frickin’ times and seeing what the Nikes would look like in the future and the fact they were anti-gravity and self-tying.”

Kylie admitted that the sneakers were impressive, but the decision was still questionable.

“They’re so cool but he deserved a little flack for that one,” she added.

Travis and the Chiefs will go for a third straight Super Bowl this upcoming season.

His brother, Jason, meanwhile, will be starting his new ESPN analyst role on Monday Night Countdown after playing 13 seasons in the NFL.
