TYRA Banks has returned to TV following her abrupt exit from Dancing with the Stars last year.
The supermodel took a step back from the cameras following her departure from DWTS, which she hosted for three seasons.

In May, it was revealed that the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is getting a reboot after taking a four-year hiatus.
Earlier this week, a promotional video for the event—taking place on October 15 in New York City — circulated on social media, featuring Tyra, 50, and runway model Gigi Hadid, 29.
It shows Gigi, donning a pink sequined mini dress and her short blond locks in loose waves, strutting down the hallway of a NYC hotel.
Upon approaching a desk, she rang the bell to get the attention of a woman behind the counter, who sported a black jacket with Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024 written on the back.
The mystery woman sifted through several gold envelopes before turning around and revealing herself to be Tyra.
She then gave Gigi her show invite and held up her golden ticket, smirking at the camera, “See you there.”
BACK TO THE RUNWAY
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show was canceled in 2019 due to plummeting ratings and numerous controversies, one of which was the harsh scrutiny over its lack of inclusivity.
In November 2018, Ed Razek, former Chief Marketing Officer for L Brands, stepped down after feeling pressured to leave.
“I may be in the minority here, but I don’t think that they should have rebranded at all, it was a bit too late and disingenuous. Not to mention they scared off their target customers who have also moved on to other brands,” one fan reacted to the fashion show’s return in a popular online thread.
“Now they are trying to revert back to their old brand, which looks even worst. Instead of this show, they should have invested in higher quality merchandise and designs….”
“This is very 2000’s. I’m personally over it, having been someone who survived the impossible standards and general unattainability of that age, but I suppose since Y2k is back and gen z seems to love it, it hits the target market…which is not me anymore, yay!” said another.
“Ugh are we really still doing this….” wrote a third, while a fourth added, “I forgot Victoria’s Secret existed tbh.”
Others had mixed feelings about Tyra being the face of the show, given her rocky few seasons as host of DWTS.
“Tyra is giving absolutely nothing,” one user complained.

Tyra Banks departed from Dancing with the Stars in 2023.
The supermodel quietly left the show after hosting for three seasons. Throughout her time on the ballroom dancing competition series, Tyra faced criticism over her hosting abilities. She eventually bowed out as host and executive producer—a role she held since her start on the show. Tyra was replaced by former DWTS pro dancer Julianne Hough.
“She wasn’t a good choice. There are so many retired supermodels that are still adored and would have been way more fun to see make a lil cameo comeback,” a second remarked.
Tyra was highly ridiculed during her time on the long-running series over her fashion choices and odd behavior on air.
Many fans accused her of trying to upstage the contestants with her out-there ensembles during live shows.
She’d also been called out for her awkward TV blunders, including repeatedly calling the wrong names and having uncomfortable interactions with the stars.
Tyra quietly left the show and removed herself as executive producer.
She was replaced by Julianne Hough, 36, who co-hosts alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, 52.
