During this foundation day of the state, Uttarakhand, its state government has taken this important decision for women’s empowerment. In this particular episode, a proposal called State Women’s Policy 2024 was presented. Its presentation was done by State Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya while she was leading a review meeting with her working team. This policy is designed for the protection of women’s rights of the state and their socio-economic condition improvement.
The objective of Women’s Policy-2024 is to bring the women of the state of Uttarakhand to a strong and self-reliant position. Under this, special attention will be given to the safety, education, health, employment, and economic empowerment of women. This policy provides special provisions for creating new employment opportunities for women, ensuring safe workplaces, solving problems related to domestic violence and gender discrimination.
Under this policy, Cabinet Minister Rekha Arya stated the need for special attention which it should include schemes regarding women’s education, health services, and economic empowerment of women in rural areas. Along with this, concrete steps will also be taken to solve problems like domestic violence and gender discrimination. Apart from that, special schemes will also be made to make women self-reliant there.
Rekha Arya further revealed that the women’s policy-2024 is expected to be taken to the cabinet for its presentation on State Foundation Day-9 November. This policy, on the same day will be dedicated to womenfolk of the state. Minister pointed out that the policy was going to become a most effective tool and would do a lot to bring positivity to women who would thereby take decisions and be the master of the situation themselves.
This policy will take many important steps to enhance the social and economic status of women. Under this, there is a plan to benefit women from various government schemes and programs. This policy can prove to be a milestone in the direction of women empowerment, as it will help to equip women with rights and improve their lives.
Apart from women empowerment, other developmental works are also happening speedily in the state of Uttarakhand. Significant schemes are being developed specially in the area of road and rail connectivity. Schemes on ground which have been pending for decades, the state government has tried to get those on the ground.
As per this budget, one most important project is in form of Kandi Marg Tanakpur to Haridwar, and on this way, the rail tracks for Bageshwar-Tanakpur is under construction. Undeniably, it remains within a time frame. Implementation of these projects may raise up the connectivity in that region and, in terms, may help the state-wide people by transportation systems with added benefits to a well-designed business system in and around.
