Watch shocking moment postal worker ‘tosses 300 Republican election flyers into dumpster’ in key swing state

THIS is the shocking moment a postal worker in a key swing state allegedly tossed 300 Republican election flyers into a dumpster.

CCTV caught the woman appearing to throw away hundreds of mailers supporting New Jersey Republican Rep. Tom Kean, Jr., into a dumpster outside a supermarket.

The pro-Kean mailers were intended for voters in Succasunna, one of the most highly Republican municipalities in New Jersey’s 7th district.

They were sent out by an independent committee affiliated with the national Republican Party, the New Jersey Globe reports.

Dressed in a USPS uniform, the woman parked her Toyota Prius next to a Shop-Rite dumpster in Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania, grabbed several bins from her trunk and flung them in.

A security worker for the supermarket told the local Jersey outlet he saw it all unfold, saying: “We saw her dump it.”

In the video, which was posted to YouTube, one security guard can be heard saying: “We have a license plate.

“She has a Pennsylvania plate, but it looks like the mail’s from Jersey.”

The recording, obtained by the New Jersey Globe, was turned over to USPS for investigation.

The incident reportedly took place mid-October.

And it’s not known if the same postal worker dumped other trays of mail into other dumpsters along the way.

On Monday, USPS spokesman Xavier Hernandez told The New York Post the agency is “aware of the allegation of mishandled political mail.”

In an email, he said: “We have full confidence in our more than 640,000 employees who are committed and actively working to deliver the nation’s election mail securely and in a timely manner”

“We have referred this incident to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General and have nothing further to offer.”

But the caught-on-camera incident may have cost the woman the job.

The Globe’s editor, David Wildstein, said in a post on X that an agency official confirmed she “has been removed from her job as a postal worker in Succasunna, NJ.”

Rep. Tom Kean, Jr. is currently locked in a close race with Democrat Sue Altman for his House of Representatives seat in the state’s 7th Congressional District.

Kean, the son of popular former New Jersey Gov. Tom Kean, said he was disturbed by the allegations.

He said: “I believe in the security of our elections and voting by mail, but this incident is deeply troubling.

“I hope the USPS acts swiftly to resolve whatever crimes have been committed, and I urge them to be open and transparent about the specifics of this incident.

“Protecting the integrity of our democracy is imperative.”

It comes after a football fan was forced to remove his Donald Trump shirt at a game.

Stadium security blocked a Buffalo Bills fan from wearing his Trump t-shirt on Sunday and said it was due to NFL policy.

Video shared on social media shows fans arguing with a security member at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, New York.

The Bills fan, who hasn’t been named, wore a navy T-shirt with the words “Trump 2024” and the slogan “Keep America first!”

Meanwhile, a British TV presenter has told how she was “punched full force” in the face for supporting Donald Trump.

Antonia Harman, 43, claims she was attacked before boarding a British Airways flight to the US, but ended up being the one kicked out of the plane.

She broke her silence following reports of two women being removed by cops from a flight at Heathrow when a fight erupted over a Trump MAGA hat – and held up departure for two hours.

How do the US presidential elections work?

BY Ellie Doughty, Foreign News Reporter

The Democratic and Republican parties nominate their candidates with a series of votes – called state primaries and caucuses – in the run up to the election in November, held every four years.

This gives members the opportunity to choose who they want to lead the party into an election – this year, Donald Trump and following Biden’s resignation, Kamala Harris.

There are also some independent candidates running for president – arguably the most well-known was Robert F Kennedy Jr who pulled out in August and endorsed Trump.

In US elections the winner is not the candidate who gets the most votes across the country.

Instead Trump and Harris will compete to win smaller contests held in each of the 50 states.

Many of the states often vote the same way – but seven of them – Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada and Arizona – tend to go in either direction.

Each state has a number of electoral college votes – partly based on population sizes – with a total of 538 across the country up for grabs.

The winner is the candidate that gets 270 or more, marking a majority in the electoral college.

All but two of the US’ 50 states – Maine and Nebraska – have a winner-takes-all rule.

Meaning whichever candidate gets the highest number of votes wins all of the state’s electoral college votes.

In 2016 Hillary Clinton won more votes nationally than Donald Trump – but she still lost the election because of electoral college votes.

The candidate who will win this election is the one who secures 270 or more college ballots.

Usually the winner is declared on the night, but it can take days to finalise the result.

In 2020 Joe Biden wasn’t officially announced as the president-elect until November 7.

The new president will be sworn into office in January on the steps of the Capitol building in Washington DC.
