An upcoming ID document series, made in collaboration with Rolling Stone Movieswill investigate the decades-long allegations against Sean Combsfeaturing new testimony from many of the Bad Boy honcho’s former friends and co-workers along with several accusers.
On Thursday, ID shared the first trailer for The Fall of Diddya multi-part series premiering on the channel on January 27 and 28; the docuseries will also be available to stream on Max.
“From those who witnessed his alleged violence and temper during his college days at Howard University and the beginning of his career with Bad Boy Records, to those who knew him at the height of his influence and power in recent years, The Fall of Diddy covering decades of mounting allegations,” the documentary series said in a summary.
The series, from the film team behind Silent on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TVfeatures interviews with Danity Kane’s D. Woods, ex Vibe editor-in-chief Danyel Smith, producer and accuser Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones, Thalia Graves (who claims Combs raped her in 2001), Combs’ longtime personal chef and more, many of whom are speaking on camera for the first time about their experiences with Combs.
Rolling Stone‘s Cheyenne Roundtree, journalist Mara S. Campo and former Combs colleagues such as his longtime bodyguard Roger Bonds and personal driver Wardel Fenderson also appear in the docu-series.
“Through these interviews combined with a large collection of archival material, The Fall of Diddy paints a holistic picture of a mogul who allegedly used his extensive power and influence to cover up for decades a pattern of abuse and violence that left an unprecedented amount of pain and suffering in his wake, ID added.
Combs is currently being held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Combs was arrested on September 16, 2024, and his trial is set to begin in May. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
