Aaron Ramsdale showed his class by checking on Lukasz Fabianski before being sent off during West Ham’s game against Southampton.
Fabianski was left in a bad way after clashing with the elbow of Southampton defender Nathan Wood, who was booked for his involvement.
Doctors quickly rushed onto the pitch as Fabianski lay sprawled forward on the grass. He was treated for around seven minutes, with Ramsdale running over to check on his fellow goalkeeper in a classy touch.
It quickly became apparent that Fabianski would not be able to continue and he was suspended and Alphonse Areola came in to replace him. All four corners of St Mary’s Stadium rose to applaud the Hammers goalkeeper as he left the pitch.
