What is TikTok’s suspect challenge?

THERE’S another TikTok trend doing the rounds and it has taken the platform by storm.

Couples and friends are using the ‘suspect challenge’ as a free-pass to dish the dirt on each other on the social media platform – but what is it?

Sona Black and her nephew’s video got 2.3million likes

What is the suspect challenge?

The tongue-in-cheek challenge sees one person pretend to run from the police as a friend films it.

While they are running, the person behind the camera starts dishing the dirt on the ‘suspect’.

TikToker Sona Black indulged in the challenge with her nephew.

As he was running, she called out: “Suspect’s phone only works with Wifi” and “suspect thinks he’s really popular but no one knows him but his aunt.”

The video collected 2.3million likes and nearly 6,000 comments from fans as of November 2024.

“The WiFi one got him lmao y’all didn’t hold back,” wrote one.

“The secondhand shame I just got at the first one because same,” said another.

Friends take turns to play the suspect and the cop, with hilarious results.

Dancing with the Stars Joey Graziadei and his dance partner Jenna Johnson also took part in the challenge.

Sona’s nephew thought the game was hilarious

Joey struggled to keep a straight face when Jemma said the ‘suspect’ “sweat more under his armpits than an average human does in their lifetime.”

He served her back by revealing to fans that when Jenna makes herself a coffee it’s just a cup of milk and sugar.

After going viral in October it’s taken off, with millions of TikTok users loving how relatable the videos are.

It follows hot on the heels of the ‘I trust my wife’ challenge in September 2024.

The trend saw women trying to slap a plastic cup off their partner’s head with a leather belt.

There is also the ‘dafuq challenge’ where people use the slang term “dafuq” as many times as they can until their partner notices.

The word “dafuq” translates to “what the f**k” and is usually used to express their irritation, or even amazement over something.

TikToker Abbie Herbert thought she had her partner fooled until he started saying dafuq too.

As the two reviewed a Patrick Ta box of eyeshadows, the TikToker repeatedly said “dafuq.”

What initially started out as a prank, actually backfired as her husband ended up dropping the word himself after praising the product.

This humoured his wife Abbie and her millions of followers, with many leaving comments to share the comical moment.

The couple trend is a perfect way to prank your other half in a light-hearted way.
