Dodger Stadium in California will host the series opener, with the championship settled over the next nine days.
Shohei Ohtani and Aaron Judge will once again go head-to-head as the Dodgers and Yankees renew their rivalry.
Both stars are competing to win this year’s MVP award across the next week and a half.
Meanwhile, Yankees outfield Juan Soto is eyeing a second World Series ring after his triumph with the Washington Nationals in 2019.
The opening game is scheduled to begin at 5.08pm local time in a change to the usual start times for sporting events.
Games generally begin on the hour, at quarter past, half past or quarter to.
However, it is less uncommon for such a start time in the USA.
Broadcasters are allowed a few minutes of build-up, analysis and an advert before the action begins.

The national anthem and ceremonial first pitch will also take place during that time before “playball” is called at 8.08pm.
It could still start later, though, if any of the pre-game events overrun.
All seven scheduled games are set to begin at 5.08pm PT and 8.08pm ET between Friday and November 3.
