Zhongtong Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd has dismissed claims circulating on social media that it is suspending operations in Zimbabwe.
The company states that these claims are entirely false and baseless.
Yesterday, a statement purported to be from Zhongtong Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd went viral on social media, sparking a buzz as Zimbos bemoaned how a number of companies are shutting down or suspending their operations in Zimbabwe.
Zhongtong Denies Suspension of Operations in Zimbabwe
However, Zhongtong Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd has issued an official statement distancing itself from claims that it suspended operations in Zimbabwe as of January 14, 2025.
“It has come to our attention that there are false claims and statements circulating regarding the operational status of ZHONGTONG ZIMBABWE (PRIVATE) LIMITED, and in light of these statements, we wish to officially clarify that these reports are completely unfounded and false.”

Zhongtong Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd has reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality services, emphasizing that it remains fully operational despite recent misinformation.
In a statement, the company urged its clients, stakeholders, and partners to disregard baseless claims circulating about its operations.
Management assured the public that their services are continuing as usual and encouraged anyone with concerns or inquiries to reach out for assistance.

The bus company has called on the public to assist in identifying individuals or entities responsible for spreading false claims about the company. The management has urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact them.
